Plain Dealer: "Socialist Frustrated by Obama's Critics"

The barrage of media deception claiming that President Barack Obama is a socialist frustrates me greatly. I am a socialist myself and have been for many years. Socialism is not enacted when the government hands large amounts of money to the corporations. Socialism means that the banking system, natural resources and the rest of the economy is not run in order to make profits for the few, but rather democratically controlled by we the people.

Socialists brought us the eight-hour work day, votes for women, the first gay rights organization, the weekend and a minimum wage.

I call on people to read the new book, "Low-Wage Capitalism," by Fred Goldstein.
