Spartacus: Behind the Myth

This film tells the story of what I am tempted to call an ancient Che Guevara.

Blacklisted writer Howard Fast eventually wrote a novel about this ancient anti-imperialist rebel. It was adapted to film by blacklisted writer Dalton Trumbo. The film starred Kirk Douglas and was directed by Stanley Kubrick.
